Kindle Fire advice please

My husband has bought me one for Xmas, but he forgot to say its a gift, so will be reg to his account :( is it easy or poss to change and reg to my account when I open it Xmas morning?

It's very say. He just needs to go Ito his amazon account and in account details, go to manage kindle. He can do his now. There will be an option to remove the kindle fire. If he hasn't set the actual kindle fire up, you would be ale to link it to your account when you set it up.

Thank you, its not unpacked, and was meant as a surprise but I took it off the posti and had Kindle Fire on the sides of pkt ... then I realised he had not marked as gift ... still trying to work out how to let him find it on door mat so he does not realise I have seen it lol

Urgh, that's annoying, same happened when I order DH a kindle as a gift but never thought to tick gift. Box came with kindle written all over it!

It doesn't register until you register it. I got one for my Dad. When he turns it on the first time he just registers it to himself.

Yes bummer, felt excited but sick that his surprise was spoiled, best I can do is plant it on mat and not let on, am keeping a few other letters to put with it, trouble is his not home when post arrives until sat ... things we have to do.

wish Amazon made it clearer, and did not mark their boxes with content.. mind you it does say under the buy it will be del in pain box if a gift, guess he never saw it :(

I bought a fire for my daughter for Christmas. It is registered to my amazon account as I didn't select the gift option.
All I have to do is unregister it to mine and register it to hers.
I'll be doing this on Christmas eve otherwise it will show on her account. ( I have her account sign in details )

Just a thought, wrap it as a present yourself and dont let on you did it?
