To think that sarcasm is just HORRIBLE?

I'm not talking about sarcasm as a form of humour - I'm one of the most sarky people you'll meet when it comes to humour.

I mean people who use sarcasm as a way of ending an argument, or to try to belittle the other person.

It really, really riles me - just makes me so upset and angry and I can't really explain why, it just seems like a really immature way to behave during a discussion.

AIBU? Maybe I'm just over sensitive.

No no not sensitive at all!

AgentZigzag · 03/12/2012 00:37

I don't like other people trying to belittle me with it, and won't fucking let them.

BUT, it is kind of the norm to stray into immature territories when you're fucked off, not big or clever, but sometimes irresistible Grin

You're so mad that the normal checks that stop you from behaving like a twat are switched off because you can justify it by your madness.

The main thing is whether the twatishness goes away relatively quickly.

Calmed down after a couple of hours and trying to get back to normal is fine, sulking and carrying on the argument for a couple of days, or punishing the other person, not fine.

Oh no, why on earth would that be unreasonable? :)

:o I knew I could rely on the nest of vipers!

Feeling a bit less upset now!
