It seems to have fallen to me to be the one to do all the barking and bossing (including shouting) in our house as DH doesnt like confrontation. This is all very well but DS's now sulk at me and openly express a preference for their father. I'm struggling with being the bad guy all the time. Am I being unreasonable to expect back up?

go away for a long weekend, leave them all to it, explain when you come back all homework, and house work must be done, see how it works out for them,

I don't do it. Dh does occasionally. But I wouldn't do it because he says so.

But then I do discipline without shouting. Does he ignore their behaviour or does he deal with it differently?
