So all the snobbery can stop now, yes?

Obvs I gt tht sum ppl cnt read it n I dnt evr rite lyk tht n RL, so ths is jus 4 a larf yea Grin

Translation - (obviously I get that some people can't read it, and I never write like this in RL, so this is just for a laugh really)

But some people on here are really snobby about txt speak as opposed to not being able to read it.

Everyone can relax now I hope.

Yes, everyone who understands MN has always been relaxed about this.

Takes newbes a while to realise text-speak us a faux pas here, but they usually get it in the end.

Sometimes I find myself just about to refer to my daughter as "dear daughter". Or my husband as "dear husband". I've had to bite my tongue a few times to stop myself from saying it. Sounds crap in RL.
