to go to bed?

DP has gone out with a mate. On my suggestion, he caught the bus into town and I said I'd pick him up later. He said it wouldn't be particularly late...
I sent a text just after midnight saying 'hope you're ok...?' clearly far too subtle and have just called his mobile, which went to answerphone.
What are the chances that I get cosy in bed and then he calls for a lift home?

Probably about 100%. Is how Sod's law rolls. I don't think YABU to text saying something like "okay, haven't heard from you in a while, guessing you're having a good time! I'm going to head off to bed though,it's getting late and I'm really tired. Hope you don't mind" and then sign off however you usually do. And then go to bed.

Send a text saying you're off to bed, then switch your phone off?

Mmmm, possibly not switch the phone off?

I'm not sure.

Do you love him?

Are you wanting LTB answers? (Grin)

Text and phone left on silent?

switch it off

AgentZigzag · 01/12/2012 01:00

The fact that I'd probably switch it off after the text but feel really guilty just shines through that post Grin

I could live with the guilt though, as I'm sure he'd be living with the guilt he'd be disturbing you if he called when you were asleep.

Hehe, thanks for the replies Thanks
He called in the nick of time so I went to get him. Not quite sure now whether to get him up the stairs or just throw a blanket over him on the sofa...
Is it weird that I love him even more when he's very infrequently drunk and somewhat disorderly?? Wink
