Just got both DDs into bed which is a mini miracle as DD2 generally only gives in at 10ish until 2am. Thought woohoo an evening to relax and possibly get the decorations out then I remembered...

I had 6 children to play today, downstairs is trashed, there is a wee accident with a towel soaking it up on the toilet floor, there are bits from not 1 but 2 broken toys to be found and disposed of and my washer is flashing broken, google tells me I need to unblock a filter.

AIBU to go get a mug of tea and hide in my bedroom ignoring the entire downstairs until MIL has the DDs tomorrow or is that just too rank?

Swap the tea for a mug of gin, and hide in peace. Tomorrow, scrub the area with biological washing powder and warm water. Job's a good'un.

Thank you all sadly now hypothetical as DD2 is up again. However if by some miracle I detach her with no tears then I'm ignoring the destruction!

We always leave baby wee on the carpet. It drys. Maybe when she's older it will smell so we won't. Or maybe we won't notice and then one day we will realise we have no friends and then learn why.

How old is DD2?

Was it your own child who did a wee? If it was someone else's, why didn't the mother/father clean it?

DD2 is 7 months I have bored everyone silly with her inability to sleep!

It was my DD1 who weed Fakebook, though the toy destruction wasn't her. Can't complain as the toy destroyers mum did the washing up before she left!

But get some wine/tea and pull the carpet up tomorrow.

Cover the wee with sodium bicarbonate- loads of it- soaks it all out the carpet, leave it then till whenever and then scrape off the bulk and vacuum carpet clean. Wee gone, easy! (Works with red wine too )

I knew I'd get slated for carpeted toilet by someone :) TBH pre DC it's never been an issue as adds wee in the toilet I emasculate DH by making him sit. But I like it now, it keeps my toes all cozy and it's somewhere to curl up on when hiding from the toddler
