Sorry not really an aibu but need someone to help me with decision!

Purple cocktail dress
Black shrug and peep toe shoes.

Normally I would go bare-legged but it's freezing outside.

Black or skin coloured tights?

Skin tone with a peep toe shoe. If you have time M&S do peep toe tights so your toes are out and it looks like you are bare legged.

ah! thanks, I may have time to nip by m&S so thanks for the tip.

Always wear black tights is my (seasoned) advice. With anything remotely possible.

Black tights...for some reason you are wearing the same outfit I am to a wedding in a couple of weeks Confused

Are you my alter-ego?

Janeatthebarre · 29/11/2012 16:13

Black tights if its above the knee. Below the knee I would go for skin tone.

cozietoesie · 29/11/2012 16:17

Sorry Jane, you're wrong. Black tights if you can conceivably get away with it (ie if it's a Christening and you're wearing white.....maybe not!)

Just vary the texture and grain of the black.

cozietoesie · 29/11/2012 16:19

Always made me Hmm that people think that black is one thing. It's a multitude of colours and textures.

Christelle2207 · 29/11/2012 16:37

right . black it is. thanks all, am off now!!!
Much appreciated.

I was thinking of the opaque ones cosie. I think they look all wrong with longer length dresses but 'barely black' is nice.
