Eat the bar of chocolate I bought DH as part of his Christmas box?

He's away, and I'd replace it, hopefully at the same (bargain) price I paid for it as that was the reason I picked it up in the first place.

We've had some really good news today but as he's away I'm on my own at home with DD (who is in bed fast asleep) and I want to celebrate with a huge bar of Fruit and Nut.

But then part of me feels guilty - because it's a "Christmas present". I know this is stupid as I can pick up a replacement whilst DD and I are out for our daily constitutional tomorrow, but even though I've been thinking about it for hours a while, I can't seem to bring myself to make the decision to go upstairs and take it out of the present stash.

WWYD?

I'd have eaten it already Grin

ImperialStateKnickers · 28/11/2012 23:18

I beat SP. I ate it last night.

elfycat · 28/11/2012 23:18

Until Father Christmas finalises his list of people who are naughty and nice we cannot be sure if your DH is going to get a bar of chocolate for Xmas.

Eat it. At the moment it is a potential gift and chocolate should never be put in a position of uncertainty.

ImperialStateKnickers · 28/11/2012 23:20

It was lush. And the special offer is still going, so I've bought the replacement already. (And a spare in case of emergency)Grin

Confession

I have bought selection boxes for siblings and my son. I will have to buy more closer to Xmas as they haven't lasted.

apostropheuse · 28/11/2012 23:20

You have to eat it. It's compulsory that at least one edible Christmas present has to be eaten and replaced before Christmas Day every year.

You're doing your duty.

It's the law.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 28/11/2012 23:21

I'd eat it, then wrap up the empty wrapper with a note saying "Santa was hungry" Wink

ImperialStateKnickers · 28/11/2012 23:21

.... chocolate.... need.... more....CHOCOLATE!!!!!!

apostropheuse · 28/11/2012 23:22

ooops just realised I was too late with my post!

Forgive my numptiness.

BluelightsAndSirens · 28/11/2012 23:22

You have to eat it, Father Christmas told me so.

Purple2012 · 28/11/2012 23:24

This is why I won't buy a bargain tin of sweets for Christmas. They never last until Christmas!

ImperialStateKnickers · 28/11/2012 23:27

I've got two large red tubs of Celebrations in the Cupboard Under The Stairs With Spiders In, which I hope will keep dds out until I've wrapped them. Due to Co-op bogof. I honestly don't think one will last until the end of November let alone Christmas.

It's starting again... chocolate... need.... more... CHOCOLATE!!!!!

CoolaSchmoola · 28/11/2012 23:29

But Purple - they're a bargain.... Buy TWO!

Ok, I'm convinced and heading for the stairs. He'll never know! Grin

Seriously tempted to wrap the wrapper though a la Chaz.
