Big night out planned in Liverpool on Friday. We are travelling by train and live about 2 hours away. I'm 40 and as a busy mum really looking forward to letting my hair down but I haven't got a clue where to go!! Don't want to spend the night trailing around trying to find decent place that isnt full of teenagers.... can anybody help please - don't want the night to be a wash out as I'm looking forward to it but feel but apprehensive tbh. Don't know Liverpool nightlife at all :/

I loved Liverpool in my youth. Are you eating, drinking, dancing?

What fun. Last time I was there was years ago so i will be no help. I just want to vicariously enjoy this. Grin

Reflex on Bold St/Concert Square is a good 80's bar and my favourite place to go. There's Flares on Matthew St which is a good 70's bar, and Pop World on Wood St has a good mix of 70's, 80's and 90's. Be warned though, they're all very cheesy. Grin

Hmmm reflex sounds right up my street.....I'm excited but don't want night to be a let down if you know what I mean :)
