Just wanted to canvass your opinions ... I do smoke cigarettes (and have done for the last 30 odd years) and I do have the occasional puff of the naughty weed. My daughter brings my grandson to see me a couple of times per week and on the days she comes I shower, change clothes from top to bottom and don't smoke at all before she comes or whilst she is here (when I do smoke I always smoke outside). I wouldn't dream of having a puff while the baby was here! She says I am irresponsible and a bad nanny ... just wondering what you think.

I am about as anti smoking as it gets and am often Judgy about these things but even I have to say, if you're as careful as you say in your OP then you're neither irresponsible nor a bad nanny.

Could she be worrying about your health more now she has a child, wanting you around and healthy for as long as possible and is just wording it badly?
