PARCEL MONKEY ARE SHIT.

I sent a very expensive parcel, and insured it fully.
It arrived with the packaging sodden.

Trying to make a claim and they wont pay out as I didnt contact them within 24 hours!!

Use parcel2go instead. Much more proffesional and helpful.

Um sorry but I found parcel2go dreadful and wouldn't touch them with a barge pole - they didn't pick up my parcel for 5 days in a row and I just couldn't get anywhere with them - they just told lies

YODEL ARE UBERSHIT Oh, so are Home Delivery Network. And all couriers I've ever used who aren't Royal Mail, Parcel Force or UPS.

So why did you use them?

Was your question for me Robot? I've never used any of them to send parcels (except Royal Mail et al), just received some very incompetent deliveries from them.

That explains why their parcel slips look identical then Soup.

Last month a parcel was signed for and not by me. No card through door at all. Driver couldn't remember which house he'd left it at. It turned up in the end but that was a heartstopping moment (expensive purchase)

That's the kind of thing Jins! They (HDNL or Yodel) once delivered a computer monitor to a house that, if it had existed, would have been nowhere near our house (it said no.1 on the note and we are 29). However, there is no no.1 on our street, it's all named houses at that end, and we never found it! The seller just sent us another one.

And many other instances of stretching the meaning of 'leaving it with a neighbour' to its very limits (including, once, the next village to us).

Oh, and chucking the parcel over the back fence into our garden, in the pouring rain, without even knocking or ringing the bell (I was in )

This morning Myhermes walked up the drive, put a card through the letter box and put my parcel in the bin.
Novel idea but I reckon knocking on the door and giving me the parcel would have been better.

Parcel Force - i'd love to share the experience I am having with them at the moment but I'm low on meds (specially prescribed for parcel force users) so I dare not risk it - in case I have another weep/swear/throw-hands-in-the-air episode.

Hermes? I think that's what they're called. They have a person to cover each delivery area. The woman who delivers near me did mean to sound so rude. The last parcel she delivered (because I won't order from anywhere I know uses them anymore) she had obviously tried to deliver earlier and I hadn't heard the bell. It went like this:

Doorbell Rings

I open the door

'So you're up now are you?'

I saw this thread and got a bit worried as I have literally just used Parcel Monkey for the first time ever this week and was somewhat apprehensive about how it would go BUT.... it was absolutely fine - phew!! They collected yesterday (did have to be in all day unfortunately - would be much more helpful having say a 2- or 4-hour slot but at least it got collected) and this evening I have just received feedback saying the parcel has arrived at the other end and they're happy with the contents so I'm assuming the packaging remained intact, despite the rain, etc. Their price was much better than other couriers I looked at so I would use them again but sorry you had a horrible experience with them, op :(

My Hermes man is really good, we're on first name terms now, he lives nearby and I can just text him to tell him when I'm in.

I used ParcelMonkey a couple of weeks ago, I didn't think they delivered themselves though? Aren't they a sort of broker, showing you all the prices and then you take your pick? Through them, I opted for CityLink as they were the best price, and I have to say the service from start to finish, both with ParcelMonkey and CityLink, was excellent. Much to my surprise!
