moved house in August changed most of addresses few straglers but got there in the end.

Today I realise I hadn't got my club card vouchers, I changed my address online ages ago so thought it weird I hadn't got them.

So called up tesco today who told me someone had used £15 of them. Obviously people living in my old flat. (however my purse was stolen a month ago so my account may of been accessed another way not sure but probably was new tennants) .

Oddly enough I get a text from people living in my old flat asking if I had any baby stuff I wanted rid of. I had forgotton about said vouchers by this point as Tesco said they would send me some new ones.

So I replied saying no but went on to say. That I wanted to ask them about my clubcard vouchers and I hadn't received them, someone had used them blah blah. Didn't actually accuse them. They are really young and skint (so are we) so I could see it was probably tempting, I feel a bit bad about putting them on the spot but I wouldn't dream of taking someone's mail specially money stuff. I used to get huge amount of club card vouchers for old tenant he used to drive for a living and once I opened one by mistake in it was over £100 but gave them to him. Kept asking him to change the address but he never did!

I remember a thread on her where someone was not allowed to use their Mum's clubcard vouchers becasue the name on the card didn't match.

They couldn't have used your clubcard vouchers without your clubcard.

So unless your purse was also stolen by the new tenants, it wasn't them. It is more likely that whoever stole your purse used your points.

Me and OH share the same clubcard. Sometimes he has it, sometimes I do. I went to spend our latest vouchers and they weren't accepted without the card being used at the shop - the assistant asked if I had a clubcard, I said I'd forgotten, and she called her manager who gave the distinct impression she thought I'd bought the vouchers or was using someone elses.

So in that sense, yes you were unreasonable. They might not know what on earth you are talking about, but by mentioning it in a text you have accused them. You wouldn't have randomly used them.

Also, if they had stolen them, they would be incredibly unlikely to get in touch and ask if you had any spare baby things.

There is nothing to stop anyone using anyone else's clubcard vouchers unless the assistant actually checks the name on them matches the card but this is rare. I'd leave it now but make sure that the postoffice redirects your mail to your new address for a while.

Tesco told me they were used with a different club card? Maybe they tried to use them then and Tesco said no. The guy on the phone said they were used with a different card we didn't discuss it further as he said I would get some new ones but still they opend my bloody post and tried to use them! Anyway the people in my old flat have text me back saying just a new club card has been deliverd and thats it Hmm

The tills at Tesco will allow you to use clubcard vouchers with any clubcard or indeed with no clubcard at all. Sometimes the cashier might check but self service won't.
