To not expect a parcel

To be left 'as directed by sender' at the side of my house when the sender (eBay though I'm not sure which parcel) wouldn't have said that because I haven't left any instructions like that at all.

The courier was city link. The parcel isn't at the side of my house (I am presuming he means the ginnel) or anywhere else at all. Although if it was left there it would have been nicked anyway because that's the type of area I live in.

There was no parcel number on the slip meaning I had to go round the houses ringing different numbers as apparently the parcel number is vital.

Argh! Has anyone else had this before? What will happen if it has been left and stolen?? I'm just waiting for a call back now hopefully before I have to go on the school run in an hour (special school very far away)

I'm usually in but I had to run out this morning to help out another child with SN who was having a crises :(

Be careful. As there are a number of scams going round where you are tricked into called a premium rate number - with parcels that do not exist.

DozyDuck · 22/11/2012 13:23

I did have to call a premium rate number :-/ but it was a city link card and they have called me back and said they would call back later...which they did, but to talk to the depot not to me :-/

Fills you with confidence doesn't it?

Why have you posted in AIBU? Confused

DozyDuck · 22/11/2012 13:27

I asked Aibu to think that it shouldn't be left at the side of the house if no one left instructions to do that.

Seeing as though it says on the card 'left as per senders instructions at the side of the house'

Yanbu to think Shitty City Link should be less blase about other people's possessions!

Can you contact the seller for a tracking number?

DozyDuck · 22/11/2012 13:35

I've contacted the seller I think it is (the only one that doesn't have royal mail as their delivery method, I'm not 100% it's her though as obviously one of the other seller could have changed their minds on which courier to use.

It's windy and raining outside anyway so even if it had been left it would have been ruined!

If they'd have just taken it back to the depot I could have gone and picked it up no problem Angry
