AIBU to think this phrase is not used much anymore in this day and age? And if someone did say it, you'd find it mildly amusing?

I like it! I might feel a bit silly saying it though. I dont know, I do say some silly things on a regular basis so I dont think anyone would find me stranger than usual.

So your DH uses it in everyday conversation? I can understand you saying it in an exaggerated posh voice, but as general chit chat goes it doesn't fit anymore does it?

We've got one friend who sometimes says this. But it's definitely tongue in cheek when he does. I think I'd find it really weird as an ordinary speech pattern.

FIL always uses it when he rings up. It is said in a tongue-in-cheek way, yes. DH also uses it on occasion to his brother or mates - they all do a jokey faux-posh thing when they get together.
