AIBU to think this phrase is not used much anymore in this day and age? And if someone did say it, you'd find it mildly amusing?

I like it! I might feel a bit silly saying it though. I dont know, I do say some silly things on a regular basis so I dont think anyone would find me stranger than usual.

CaptainBarnaclesDaddyman · 15/11/2012 11:07

I use it occasionally. Especially when I want to sound chaptastic!

TobyLerone · 15/11/2012 11:08

I say it now and again, in an exaggerated posh voice.

ReindeerBollocks · 15/11/2012 11:09

I say this to mates I haven't see in a while then bump into.

Didn't realise people don't use it.

GilbGeekette · 15/11/2012 11:09

DH says it when people ring up Blush

Molepomandmistletoe · 15/11/2012 11:11

It's a damn sight better than...

"Alright Fuck Face? How is one?" From my brother.

Fakebook · 15/11/2012 11:11

So your DH uses it in everyday conversation? I can understand you saying it in an exaggerated posh voice, but as general chit chat goes it doesn't fit anymore does it?

Grin @ molepoms brother.

Funnily enough I have friends who would greet me like that too..

Thumbwitch · 15/11/2012 11:13

Grin at Molepom's bro.

I use it with certain friends.

EdithWeston · 15/11/2012 11:13

We've got one friend who sometimes says this. But it's definitely tongue in cheek when he does. I think I'd find it really weird as an ordinary speech pattern.

squeakytoy · 15/11/2012 11:21

My stepsons usual greeting is "wassup fuckers"... Hmm

TooImmatureGhostiesAndGhoulies · 15/11/2012 11:26

FIL always uses it when he rings up. It is said in a tongue-in-cheek way, yes. DH also uses it on occasion to his brother or mates - they all do a jokey faux-posh thing when they get together.

DozyDuck · 15/11/2012 11:40

BF says 'well hello!'

Sounds sort of creepy

Except now DS with his echolalia has started saying it all the time!

'well HELLO'
