a sodding Christmas film!

What makes it worse is that, ever since I started Christmas shopping in August, he has been telling me how ridiculous I'm being in doing so because, "It's August dear!" said in a supercilious tone whenever I ask what he thinks of a present idea. Angry

I wanted to get the Christmas films and books out when we start the Advent calenders and I don't want the dc to get fed up of them all before Advent even starts.

It's trivial, I know, but AIBU to be pissed off?

I'd be pissed off too. Like you say you don't want them to be fed up of them by the time Christmas comes, but also it seems a bit double standards... I'd feel like he had kind of ruined the sanctity of it, which I know is melodramatic, and very U, but Christmas is a lovely family time...

We don't have any Christmas stuff here until 1st December, except present buying which happens throughout the year as we are on a low income and have to get things when we see them. Once it's "TIME" though anything goes, decorations, Christmas music, films etc.
