To not sell the scout stamps and do post

Ds1 not even at beavers at the moment due to a clash of extra ciricular stuff.
Tonight they have delivered sheets of stamps and the name of the street we are to sell them to and then deliver sorted post too.
The street is not within walking distance so i would have to take ds1 round which i probably would have to do anywhere as hes only 7.

Firstly im a bit pissed off i wasnt asked.
Secondly i dont believe in Xmas cards and always donate to CLIC instead.
Thirdly i am currently working full time, alongside doing a masters which takes up one day every weekend doing study, so i have one day a week to do cleaning to myself and the dcs.

AIBU and WWYD?

Has he agreed to it while he was still attending Beavers? If so I think you should do it, unless you don't plan on him returning to it, presumably they arranged it a while ago. If not though or if you don't plan on him going back I'd just ring up and say you think they have been delivered to the wrong house as your DS no longer participates in their group :)

Groovee · 09/11/2012 19:14

If he's not part of the group it's odd they've delivered this to you.

Our city no longer does scout post but it was a lot of effort and very few volunteers.

mosschops30 · 09/11/2012 19:43

He doesnt remember volunteering.
Its not a case of 'thinking i should do it' i just have no time, i am hanging onto my sanity by a thread doing this course, selling stamps and delivering post is not something i can take on right now

Well presumably from your latest post you have already decided not to do it so I'm a bit unsure why it matters if YABU. If you're not going to do it, you need to contact whoever runs the group and tell them you can't do it :)

HecatePropylaea · 09/11/2012 21:33

If I really didn't have time, I'd just take them back and say sorry, I didn't agree to do this and I don't have the time.

mosschops30 · 09/11/2012 21:33

All done
