Is this all you wanted to post?

Sugarbeach · 09/11/2012 13:50

Tweasels · 09/11/2012 13:51

Yes YABU

Sugarbeach · 09/11/2012 13:51

Yep

Hemlet · 09/11/2012 13:52

I can kinda see why someone would be afraid to - there's been a lot of 'I don't believe this post is real' posts without any kind of provocation (other than the OP not replying within 2 seconds or being unable to answer a question)

Sugarbeach · 09/11/2012 13:53

Oh good, that's a yanbu then. Thanks

OP posts:
RudolphUcker · 09/11/2012 13:55

Well don't then
HTH.

B1ueberryFields · 09/11/2012 13:55

if there's something you want to run past us, change your name. that's what i always do,because sometimes people can really go for the jugular! and I don't want to be remembered for it.

the few times I've ever done an AIBU I've got the 'this is a troll' post on it. So just accept that before you press submit. For some reason somebody will think that whatever it is you can't figure out is a piece of fiction (even if as it was in my case(s) Wink ) it was too mundane to be fiction.

Sugarbeach · 09/11/2012 13:55

Feel the fear and do it anyway?

OP posts:
B1ueberryFields · 09/11/2012 13:57

I have that book on my nightstand, i'm afraid to read it. But I will, I will.

Fakebook · 09/11/2012 13:57

Name change, post, move on.

SillyBeardyDaddyman · 09/11/2012 13:57

Everyone should post on aibu. It's good to be told you're wrong by a couple of hundred people once in a while Grin

Sugarbeach · 09/11/2012 13:57

Agree that it's best to have a thick skin if you are going to post in Aibu, especially as the OP.

You only need to be scared if you are BU but aren't prepared to be told so.

Sugarbeach · 09/11/2012 13:59

Why's it good silly beard? Surely only if you need a serious reality check?

OP posts:
Sugarbeach · 09/11/2012 14:00

Ke lee, if you already knew you were bu you wouldn't 't be posting...

OP posts:
Iggly · 09/11/2012 14:01

YABU

Just words on a screen.

andallthatjargon · 09/11/2012 14:03

I posted something on here once, under a different name, and about six thousand people said I was wrong, it did give me a different perspective, but I was still right Grin....

Hemlet · 09/11/2012 14:05

No, it's not unreasonable. I think if I were to post something personal or controversial I'd change my name.

Some people do post daft things just for the crack (craic?) though. Then sit back on their gaming chairs with their pot of pringles, jacking off over the rage they inspire.

Probably.

Sugarbeach · 09/11/2012 14:05

Fellow MN's must also be a bit scared to feel the need to change name before posting....no?

OP posts:
LaCiccolina · 09/11/2012 14:07

Surely though the point of AIBU is that you already kinda suspect you might be being unreasonable in the first place? Or you wouldnt be asking the question?

Fair enough on some situational ones but many you just read and think oh ffs are you that dim IRL or just when writing something down online.....?

loopylou6 · 09/11/2012 15:33

Yabu to be scared of posting on an anonymous internet site.
