Anyway. If you are Western can you go and give blood please (if at all posdible).

Local news just said there's a bit of a shortage.

Thanks.

I really think that anyone who can give blood, should.

Even me who technically should be able to finds that half the time I show up there is some reason I can't. Either slightly low haemoglobin, or been poorly recently, or of course when I was pg or bfing ( though I believe you can give after 9 months and lo is on solids).

Therefore it is so important everyone who can does donate. That reminds me I really must book myself in! I had an op not so long ago, but think I should be ok to donate now. (They may have other ideas when I get there of course, but at least I'llhave tried!) Grin

I am in the south west, pretty sure they can always put it to some use! Grin

And I know it is a slightly naughty way of looking at it, but I always imagine all the calories I will burn up replenishing those blood cells! Wink not sure if it works that way or not! Grin

California see if they haven't changed those rules. I was also in the UK during the mad cowness, but am now clear to donate. sadly everyone with my blood type seems to be the giving type, so they aren't taking me now. (I'm in the Wild West).

And in the US, you only get paid for plasma, not whole blood.

I cant give because Ive had three blood transfusions. At this rate with the recent rules there will be no one left to give blood, what the hell are we going to do then?

I'm west - but western scotland!

Can't donate as I get a treatment for neuro issues once a that's blood based, so don't want my blood, organs or bone marrow not that anyone would want my liver anyway

Why can't you give if you have received a blood transfusion?
