To think that Minnie Driver ruins Good Will Hunting.

I love this film, love Matt Damon, love the story, love the soundtrack . . . . . . but I do NOT love Minnie Driver in this film. Everything about her character, her voice, her facial expressions, her wide eyed nonsense, her guffawing . . . . . . ruins it I tell you.

But I do so love the soundtrack.

What other perfectly good films are ruined by miscasting?

Kirsten bloody Dunst

We are supposed to believe she has Spiderman and Harry fighting for her attention? Please.

And she is acting on Broadway straight after high school?

Nah, it's cringeworthy crap anyway.

Leo Dicaprio in Titanic.
He seemed Pre-pubescent compared to mature Kate Winslet. Early casting had Mathew McConaughey and Sean Young as Jack and Rose. That would have been weird.

Didn't quite buy their relationship. Which brings me to Baz Lurhman's Romeo and Juliet - zero chemistry between Dicaprio and Claire Danes although excellent actors by themselves. I did read they were a little frosty between takes though.

I can't stand her! and she spoils Gross Point Blank. She thinks she's cooler than she really is....
