Someone has stolen my daughters beautiful ladybird wellies from outside our front door. They weren't going to fit her for much longer, so I had to buy some new ones anyway, BUT THEY WERE GORGEOUS!!!! And no longer onsale anywhere anymore. Am very very sad.

i like the moral fox. i need a few of those. there's some right sneaky devious fox types round here. one poos in my backyard. she's after my rabbits.

HelloDoris · 13/10/2012 17:14

Mountain Wharehouse have some ladybird wellies, currently £9.99 a pair.

sunnyshine · 13/10/2012 17:17

My croc got stolen by a fox too!!

KatyPeril · 13/10/2012 17:30

Never had my shoes stolen by a fox, but used to have all the neighbours shoes left in my garden. Never a pair though.

BigWitchLegsInWailyTights · 13/10/2012 17:35

Must have been desperate. Let them go...they're just things. I broke my fave plate the other day...one with lots of memories attached and for about a second I could have cried...then I saw DDs looking at me and I said "Oh well...it's gone now...it's just a thing. Now it can be recycled and be something new!"

Vagaceratops · 13/10/2012 17:39

My trainers were stolen by a fox. Next door found one on their lawn, half chewed.

Vagaceratops · 13/10/2012 17:41

Bigwitch - but the plate was because of your actions. The OP is entitled to be angry that some one has stolen something which belonged to her.

Rosebud05 · 13/10/2012 17:45

Are you sure that someone didn't think that you'd put them outside to give away?

People do that around here all the time.

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 13/10/2012 17:50

Mountain Warehouse do indeed have them for £9.99. No sign of them on the Matalan website - maybe they're just in some of the shops.

LolaDontCryOverSpiltBleach · 13/10/2012 17:53

Are you sure rosebud ?, you aren't just going around nicking thing's and there is a load of threads on here about you
Grin

Sorry Op, i'm sure you can find some online. You really shouldn't have too though Sad

Same here, mrsdevere.

Although I did leave ds's micro scooter in the front garden for 3 hours last week (by mistake, obviously) and was amazed to find it there when I opened the door.

pregnantpause · 13/10/2012 19:49

I can't imagine taking stuff from peoples gardens even if it was given. It would be surreal. How odd. (and I've had to take donations from the church for food in the last twelve months- not a case of there but for the grace, as I have been desperate).
Id be furious if my dc stuff was stolen. You are entirely justified to be angry and frankly, a bit let down. Just the story makes me feel let down by the shamelessness of people.

MummyPig24 · 13/10/2012 20:07

Bloody hell what arses! The kids over the road leave their bikes/go karts/scooters out for days on end on the pavement and nobody steals them! I left dds Lola wellies and the buggy out the front on friday, they were still there when I got them in that afternoon. YANBU to be upset! I never knew foxes stole shoes, little buggers!

annabeldp · 13/10/2012 20:44

I never knew foxes did either - lesson learned. They were right by the front door (drying off after walking through huge amounts of mud) so I'd hope noone took them.

However foxy may now be able to have 4 matching wellies - as the lovely people at Matalan found me a replacement (Yay!). Smile

I've left other stuff outside before and hasn't gone anywhere - someone must have just loved them and after a glass of wine, and finding replacements - am feeling much more forgiving.

Angry for everyone else who's had things stolen from outside, it isn't right.

purplehouse · 13/10/2012 20:55

Try eBay they def have ladybird wellies

I sympathise I had my shoes stolen from outside my front door on my mat. People are so dishonest these days.

Devora · 13/10/2012 20:58

We've lost a few shoes to foxes. They absolutely love them. There is a fox hole (set? burrow?) in our garden and I swear there's an Imelda Marcos collection down there.

purplehouse · 13/10/2012 21:03

Foxes usually take them when it's dark dont they?
