to want the old shape Dairy Milk back

Argh. I've just eaten a bar of Dairy Milk (pig) and they've changed the shape of the pieces. What was wrong with the old squares? Have they made them curvier to fit the roof of your mouth or something? I like squares. Sod them. I'm going to buy Yorkie next time.

you could melt the chocolate in a bain marie and pour into ice cube trays for that squarer taste.

When a manufacturer changes the shape of a product or its packaging, it's usually in an effort to disguise a reduction in quantity.
If you compared the new shape with the old one you will probably find that rounding off the corners has saved them some chocolate.

Yes the large bars are still the old size blocks, the small "individual" bars are a new shape because they are smaller.

The bastards. I want the shaved off corners. I've been diddled

This is why I keep saying the better three decades were the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. I do not appreciate this 'new shape' of Dairy Milk. They've discontinued or changed an awful lot of good food over the years, in vain.
