I have just got to the bottom of my ironing pile for the first time in years, many years in fact.

WorraLiberty · 20/09/2012 21:54

Bring back shell suites and polyester slacks

That's what I say!

SoleSource · 20/09/2012 21:55

Lol Worra

Leftwingharpie · 20/09/2012 21:57

When I'm ironing I listen to Mumsnet on the Web Reader App, read by an American robot voice.

cheekybarsteward · 20/09/2012 21:58

And crimpolene dresses!
I just got to the bottom of my ironing basket for the first time in years too...I tipped it over trying to reach the wine rack...oh well.

pippinsmum · 20/09/2012 22:01

Bloody hell just remembered i am supposed to be doing the ironing tonight! Oh well too late now

whatinthewhatnow · 20/09/2012 22:09

yanbu. fuck the ironing. i'm fucking the housework right now.

that doesn't sound right.

Teamumizumi · 21/09/2012 17:27

I should have listened to you all. I dropped the iron on my arm and now I've got a MASSIVE burn on my forearm AND I'm going to a wedding tomorrow so bang goes the pretty dress i was going to wear :( :( :(

Ironing is bad for you, fact.

cheekybarsteward · 21/09/2012 17:36

Oh team that's awful! Do you have a pashmina or something soft you could cover your manky poor arm with?

InvisibleHotPinkWeasel · 21/09/2012 17:37

I am sat at the kitchen table on the lap top surrounded on all sides by a towering pile of ignored laundry Grin

Teamumizumi · 21/09/2012 17:39

I've got a nice thick poncho for winter - kind of spoils the effect! Will just wear a work dress and jacket and look like a frumpy old maid instead.
