pack holiday suitcases away in the loft without my help. (almost 40 weeks pregnant)
Whenever I need to put things away in loft I manage on my own. (althought not when heavily pregnant)
He always expects someone (ie me) to pass whatever it is up to him.
Petty but annoying (yes or no)

YANBU thats irritating!

Well... Yes, annoying, and yes, he could do it himself. But (unless they are heavy, and you shouldn't be lifting them) surely passing him the cases saves time and is much more efficient?

hmmmm if the suitcases are empty then i think you might be being a teensy bit unreasonable. They wont be heavy, but they will be awkward for him to try and get up there whilst climbing the loft ladder or steps at the same time. So as long as you don't have to lift anything heavy, or climb even one step of the ladder, i think you should help him.

leave the bastard.... to it

go and lie down, surely you are getting the odd twinge now and then Wink

I used to get suitcases into the loft by myself. I would go up the steps with a light on a lead and open the hatch, attach the light to the hook up there, come down again, pick up a suitcase and slide it up the steps in front of me. Easy peasy!

I put heavy black bags of clothes (kids' old clothes so next kid can wear them) into the loft on my own as dp is scared lazy. I put them against the ladder and push them up as high as i can (which isnt high as i'm teeny) then push them on my head as i climb. It is very awkward but i manage.
