Dry cleaners that blatantly smells

Took a dress to the dry cleaners near me today... Usually use one further away, but thought... Oh well, support the village I live in... So walked in and noticed an unpleasant smell. Was handing over the dress and realised the lady who worked there must have been smoking in the building...quite a few I should think... It stunk. Of course I was too gobsmacked... Stupid...polite to say anything. £10 to get my dress back smelling like an ash tray and take OT straight to another dry cleaners... I'm a numpty aren't I...

Wait and see what it's like, but I wouldn't pay for something that smelled nasty.

Urgh, that sounds horrible. I'd be wanting my money back to be honest, she didn't really provide a service of 'cleaning' at all.

Sounds grim! If it smells when you collect, you need to speak up. If she smokes heavily, she won't notice but may have noticed the dip in her turnover & not know why. Smoking in a workplace is illegal also (uk).
