to want to watch one programme in peace-ish... rant

i told my kids to leave me alone just let me watch one programme. then we can go to the shops and do what they want to do. they are 5 and almost 10. all i have had the older one do is mum this mum that bla bla bla. but its all good when we are doing what he wants or he is getting what he wants. am i exspecting to much?

Yes. I only get to watch tv in peace when they are asleep, or in school/playgroup.

i just would have thought that if im saying to them let me watch tv for an hour and then we can go to town and get you a treat that would be enough to hush them for at least a while :( not so much thr 5 year old but the older one
