It's a rape allegory.

CocktailsAndFriedChicken · 07/09/2012 18:22

Thought it was a contraception allegory

missymoomoomee · 07/09/2012 18:23

Is this not about contreception?

PavlovtheCat · 07/09/2012 18:24

ah. yes. I get it now. Now I have read the site. However, it was posted with no context on a male friend's facebook.

It's referencing Todd Akin's remarks on abortion for rape victims.

SuperB0F · 07/09/2012 18:24

It's a satirical comment on the religious right in America and their abstinence programmes/views on condoms.

MrsMellowDrummer · 07/09/2012 18:24

Contraception, surely. Or abortion?

Bit weird though.

PavlovtheCat · 07/09/2012 18:24

I am, clearly a bit dim. I was thinking. what? why would I go canoing without a life jacket? why would I put my children in my canoe without their life jackets? why would I not go canoing?

I found the website on the feminist philisophers website and it was only then that I thought outside the box. I am obviously too much of a literal person.

Ah right, I didn't read the text lower than the picture. Yes, the abortion row where some twat came out and claimed that 'real' rape victims somehow wouldn't get pregnant or would miscarry by magic.
