TO BE SO FED UP?

frillylemons · 07/09/2012 17:54

I'm 40+10 with DC1 and I'm utterly fed up. I'm exhausted, my body hurts and I'm really emotional. I know it will be much the same after the baby is born but I just feel hideously hideous :(

not suprised your fed up, you have every right to feel sorry for yoursefl.

numbertaker · 07/09/2012 17:55

It's what you sign up for, lol.

topbannana · 07/09/2012 17:56

YANBU
Thanks for you :)

thebeesnees79 · 07/09/2012 17:57

awww hugs. I am 35 weeks with my third and already fed up, you most be beyond exhausted! they won't leave you more than a few days now though surely?

NameChangeGalore · 07/09/2012 17:58

Yep. I cried and cried 2 days before I went into labour with DS at 39+5. Try squatting or take a walk to the park and swing on some swings. Worked for me.

CailinDana · 07/09/2012 17:58

Poor you :( I was only 40+5 with DS and dear lord I was about to haul him out myself with the plunger! On the plus side I was so utterly fed up with being pregnant that once DS actually decided to grace us with his presence I felt like a million bucks, I really felt amazing. A year later I was still appreciated being able to turn over in bed without needing a crane Grin

ilovedjasondonovan · 07/09/2012 17:59

As someone who only went 2 days over you have my sympathy. But hey, on the plus side you won't have a late Aug age school starter (which some people worry about, not me, I have 2 summer girls and they are doing just fine)

Ilovedaintynuts · 07/09/2012 17:59

I remember how bad I felt and that was 15 years ago!

You will not feel any way near as bad AFTER the birth, at least I didn't.

This is the worst bit and you are nearly there...X

frillylemons · 07/09/2012 17:59

Off for induction on Tuesday...but I'd rather go naturally! I've tried bloody everything! Everything except castor oil! Hmm

I'm 38 weeks today & already I'm totally fed up, in pain & just want this baby out so know how you feel. I'm dreading going overdue. To make matters worse my friend was due 2 days before me & had her baby this morning so I'm overcome with jealousy too.

CocktailsAndFriedChicken · 07/09/2012 18:00

Oh frilly :(

Did you not try the nutella nappy stunt?

frillylemons · 07/09/2012 18:01

Hi Cocktails...no, I'd forgotten about that!

OP posts:
frillylemons · 07/09/2012 18:02

Well, at least I'm not the only one.

cakeismysaviour · 07/09/2012 18:04

Bless you. I am 40+1 and have been hot and bothered all day. :(

OHforDUCKScake · 07/09/2012 18:05

Nutella nappy stunt?! Whats that?!

charlottehere · 07/09/2012 18:05

(((((hugs)))))) Hopefully you will get a new lease of life after the birth.

frillylemons · 07/09/2012 18:08

Nutella Nappy Stunt is a way to shock people. It was suggested to me (I was having a rebellious moment) to put Nutella in a nappy, put it in my handbag, go for a bus ride and then get said nappy out of bag and eat the contents! The thought cheered me up!

Ok - book a table for tomorrow night at the nicest restaurant in town. Spend all morning tomorrow salivating over the food. Post on mumsnet how much you are looking forward to it. Tell everyone you meet how much you are looking forward to it. Start getting ready at 2pm. Comment to dh how this will be your last time out as a couple for a while.

Ten minutes before you are due to leave your waters will break all over the kitchen floor!

butterfingerz · 07/09/2012 21:54

I went to 40+10 with DC2, it is shit, I could barely move, bloody waddling everywhere. Put your feet up and if you have to waddle anywhere, make it as far as to the kettle to make a brew! Stock up on lots of cake and nice easy food for when baby comes. Good luck!

frillylemons · 07/09/2012 22:00

That's it. I'm totally planning a meal out. Good move!

I was induced at 40+14. I feel your pain

Nothing worked for me, I still can't look at curry yet due to having then every night for 14 days.

My induction didn't work straight away so walked up and down stairs baby was out within two hours, as much ad it killed my thighs it got him moving.

As someone else said you feel soooo much better after . Goodluck it will happen

griphook · 07/09/2012 22:19

Also I miss being pregnant in a strange way and miss my bump

SirBoobAlot · 07/09/2012 22:21

MummyToKate is right, make lots of plans, say them loudly so baby can hear you.. Grin

Christmas shopping worked for me, though DS was a November baby Wink

Hope things start before induction.

ScarletLady02 · 07/09/2012 22:25

You are 40+10...nothing you do OR feel is unreasonable. I went 5 days over and that was bad enough. I feel for you, I really do.

NumericalMum · 07/09/2012 22:25

Yanbu to be fed up but if I could turn the clock back I would SLEEP if I were you. I didn't get another full night for nearly 2 years after my labour started...
