I thought maybe ''puree fed baby'' after reading one thread, but after reading another that had nothing to do with food i am stumped.

So, what the hell is ''pfb''??

You will find a list of acronyms at the top of the page.

HTH

Wink

Precious First Born.

And not precious as in "all babies are precious" (adored, important) but "you are being precious about that" (overly fussy).

It references the fact that parents are often more fussy and worried and generally precious about how their first child is treated, and once they have another they tend to be a bit more relaxed.

And of course YANBU to ask but YAB a little U to use AIBU to ask it :)

NormaStanleyFletcher · 06/09/2012 13:54

What it means is the worry and attention you lavish on the first one. So many photos etc, then the subsequent neglected children (snc) look at photo albums and wonder if they were born a toddler

OhChristFENTON · 06/09/2012 13:54

or Perfect First Born, normally as an accusation that you one is being a bit precious about something because it's their first child.

I remember being told I was being PFB when I started posting here, - I absolutely wasn't though,

OhChristFENTON · 06/09/2012 13:55

damnit

I am the queen of x - posting though.

RandomUsername · 06/09/2012 13:55

Exit - ahh see i forgot about the link to the acrynoms, i like to guess what they mean sometimes, its more fun :)

When your first swallows a coin you rush to a&e.

When your second swallows a coin you wait for it to come out the other end.

When your third swallows a coin you deduct it from their pocket money

Ive been wondering this for a while whilst on here. I even googled it , silly me ! Thanks OP , makes sense now :)

DaisyBD · 06/09/2012 14:39

Grin Norma

Also: the definition of 'sterilise' (vb): what you do to your PFB's dummy by boiling, and what you do to your SNC's dummy by licking and wiping on sleeve.

flyoverthegoldenhill · 06/09/2012 15:07

Tweasels · 06/09/2012 21:48

There was a thread the other day about weaning and people were asking for an acronym for babies who didn't do blw. So now we know PFB ha ha. brill.

RecursiveMoon · 06/09/2012 21:50

I sent DH a screenshot of Norma's wisdom, as he's away at the moment. He ROFLd Grin.
