AIBU to get so annoyed by this?

I like to think of myself as a fairly easy going person but recently when I've been shopping I've been becoming less and less tolerant.

I've noticed that a lot of people seem to think it's okay to put their trolley or basket in the checkout aisle then wander off to do more shopping.

I've been in the situation where you forget something and say to the person behind I'm just going to grab this, you can go ahead, but when people leave and come back with arms full of shopping it makes me excessively annoyed. Especially when you go ahead as they have left the queue and they come back and get arsey.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who finds this so irritating!

Can't say it's ever happened to me.

I've never come across people returning with armfulls of stull, and I expect that I'd find it annoying too so yanbu.

This is why I do my shopping online. Fewer annoyances!

It's why I only shop online too.

In the past, due to chronic tiredness due to ME I have struggled to push the trolley or carry the basket any further. I would then leave it near the till but not blocking it while I fetched the last few things.

It was that or ask a staff member to help me or just give and go home.
