FSU issue or should I complain?

FSU = fucking stupid user Grin

I've just gone to change a light bulb, even though I was been gentle the glass bulb basically twisted off the metal base and sliced my thumb. It was one of those bayonet ones where you have to push gently and twist. There's still a rim of glass around the metal base.

Now is this a hazard to be expected from having electric lighting or should I take the asda own light bulb back and brandish my poorly thumb at some poor bugger at customer services?

I've already spent my 'sorry' voucher on chocolate fondant pudding and double cream AIBU?

Either way - take it back. I would :)

I' m leaning towards that coolaschmoola, but like to be prepared to know how much of my pride I will have to swallow while convincing people to basically give me free cake Grin

I used to work gorgeous Asda as a manager and have given people money back for sillier things.

Personally I wouldn't complain but most people would so go for it!

Oh so would I only get the value of the bulbs back? I don't think that would cover the gap between loss of pride and price of cake Sad

That'll teach me to have greedy thoughts!!!

You might get a voucher for goodwill, depends how you play it and who serves you.

Best thing to do is say you want to draw it to their attention in case it's a product issue, bandage your thumb and be super nice.

Contrary to what many people think kicking off very rarely gets you what you want.

On the other hand someone will bend over backwards to help the lovely lady who cut her hand :)

Oh I'm definitely of the 'catching flies with honey' variety, I spend half my life on the end of the phone dealing with customers so i'd never do the shouty 'you work here therefore you are in charge of the whole company' thing. At least I can roll my eyes on the other end of the phone.

Mmmm Friday chocolate! Thanks Englishgirl Smile
