7 days til we return to school.
DD has been vile all day. Just wondering of there is something in the water?
Thank god DP is home early and has taken her out for an hour....

I had the luxury of going to work and escaping for 7 hours! Hang in there! Soon be back at school and you will miss her next week!

SirBoobAlot · 30/08/2012 16:35

I am on holiday finishing count down.

Myliferocks · 30/08/2012 16:36

We were doing alright until today!
Both DD's are in a foul mood.
It's my own fault as just this morning I was thinking how well they had been getting on!
More fool me!

FuckityFuckFuck · 30/08/2012 16:36

Here!

DS has been a nightmare today, and is currently chucking a strop in his bedroom because I told him to stop banging a chair against the wall :/

18 days until nursery......

OneOfMyTurnsComingOn · 30/08/2012 16:37

No. It's been lovely. DD back at school today Grin

OddBoots · 30/08/2012 16:40

I confess I am struggling a bit, they don't seem to want to do anything but squabble with each other. I normally enjoy the summer hols an was wondering why that wasn't the case this year but I think it is because dh has only been able to have 3 days off all summer (partly Olympics, partly changing job so using leave to reduce notice period) so we haven't had much family time and I've not been able to pop out without taking the children with me.

Shakey1500 · 30/08/2012 16:41

Nightmare day today also. Mainly because i'm full of bloody cold, the "just want to lie on the sofa and do sod all"type. Only it's 4 days till school starts,dh at work and 5yr old bored witless. Pass the wine lempsip please?

Wheresthedamndog · 30/08/2012 16:44

Feel your pain, op. 5 days to go til back at school here. Am climbing the walls and I'm not even doing the bulk of it. They just seem to have lost it this past week. Or perhaps i have.

Wine o clock here, and that's despite needing to spend half the night writing a report.

CockyPants · 30/08/2012 16:44

Wine sounds good. Nothing I did today was good enough for her. So she whined, didn't listen and didn't answer AT ALL!!
So fed up.

Yes- have taken DCs to watch Brave this morning, now DD1 (aged 10) is being vile. Has demanded that I take her into town tomorrow to buy her a Moshi Monsters membership card, I've said no, as she's been incredibly rude to DH and me, had hit DD2, and all week has refused to tidy her room, do her homework set for the holidays, and shouts all the time! Have sent her to her room, and can hear her talking to XH (her dad) on the phone he bought her!

I'm 37 weeks pregnant, knackered and don't need it!!!

StellarforStar · 30/08/2012 16:46

It's the full moon coming up...

CockyPants · 30/08/2012 16:47

I loved Brave. Mother daughter relationship dynamic resonated with me..

Blue Moon tomorrow night, apparently.

Yes today has been a one step forward two steps back day.

Today, whilst I was putting a patch on DD1s once-worn leggings, she unlocked the back door. The DDs (3 and 19mths) had a sandfight under the clean washing on the line. Emptied three pots of neglected strawberry plants then ran in to show me, bringing the dirt in and putting hands all over the clean washing in the basket. I had to wrestle them into the bath and DD1 did a wee on the dining room carpet. All before lunch. Then it rained.

Still I got the patch on eventually. I don't care that the sodding leggings only cost £3 for two pairs its the principle of the thing, dammit!

Hulababy · 30/08/2012 17:03

DD has been at drama all day so been an easy one here. She's now watching a film.

Yesterday was horrid, but not DD's fault. Had to tell her that her class teacher has died unexpectedly - rubbish end to the day and end to the holidays tbh. She normally can't wait to go back to school, now I wish I could put it off forever - that first day back is now going to be a dreadfully sad day.

gordyslovesheep · 30/08/2012 17:07

yes they have been awful - really silly, shrieky, fighty and vile - I am shattered today

bagpuss · 30/08/2012 17:16

No worse than normal Hmm Grin.

Hulababy, Sad. I hope your dd's first day back goes smoothly.

camdancer · 30/08/2012 17:19

Yesterday was bad. Today was dreadful. I'm guessing that tomorrow will also be horrific. Any ideas what to do to make tomorrow better? All DS and DD1 want to do is fight, bicker and annoy each other. We've done nice things today but it still has been horrible. I'm thinking of just going to the park tomorrow morning and staying there until dinner time.

CockyPants · 30/08/2012 18:50

I have a violent urge to scream if I hear the Octonauts theme tune again.
And, cant believe I'm saying this, but I'm beginning to get sick of Horrible Histories. And I bloody loves them! I want to have Mat Baynton's love child Grin sorry DP....
