So DD (10) wants a specific jumper washed and dried for tommorrow. Firstly I feel ill, secondly, I am not a laundrette - she has plenty of clothes to waer, thirdly, it will not be dry for tommorrow. I think

She has empty the wet washing out of the machine, tipped the dry washing that was in the basket all of over my bed and quite honestly I am pregnant and can't be arsed to instruct her how to use the machine etc.

So am I?

No! Show her how the washing machine works - after she has tidied the mess!

nah - just tell her its hard luck she should have brought it down when it was dirty in the first place.

Well it sounds as if she is at least trying to wash it herself (admittedly creating havoc in the process but that's kids for you Smile), so why not seize the opportunity to teach her to use the machine? That way, by the time your next DC arrives, she will be fully trained Wink.

She's only 10, this may seem like the most important thing in the world to her, so I'd tell her to fold the washing and put the wet washing where it needs to go (tumble or clothes horse) and then tell her how to put her own jumper in the washing, you might feel guilty tomorrow if you don't Confused x

I know anyone I just don't feel up to it and am a alot put out and hormonal at her list of demands.

She has just made me a cup of tea to say sorry and has put the wet washing up to dry, DH has put the jumper in the machine for her.
