Sorting out school supplies for the new school year. Last year I bought proper stationery such as staedtler pencils etc and used the pencil cases attached to their standard issue school bags but there were so many problems with kids all having the same/bring the same brands as school used that I decided to buy lesser quality but personalised stuff thus year

They sell pink or blue personalised pencil cases & stationery and on the blue ones you can have robot, cheeky monkey, skater, robot logoes

Whoops phone went silly

On the pink ones you can have monkey, butterflies, princess or dance designs

Dd is a dancer, she lives for it so would love a personalised dance pencil case but hates pink. Why can't I buy her a blue one with s danc logo. It seems very stereotyped girl pink boy blue to me.

How old is your DD?

And why does she hate pink so much?

It does seem a bit weird not to like a colour unless it's been associated with something horrible, like I loathe dark green because it reminds be of being sick.

In the end it's only a pencil case anyway.

Why dont you just take her to a standard stationery shop and let her pick.one she likes from there?

I agree though in that all images should be avaliable i both colours however the fact that they only do pink and blue would annoy me more.

Very irritating, ridiculous gender stereotyping.

She's 10 almost 11 and just thinks pInk is too Gorky. Her favourite colour is turquoise followed by blue & purple

I'm buying her and ds the personalised sets due to problems last year. They have to provide certain items and they kept disappearing. Ds especially kept saying others said his pencils were theirs etc.

Stupid predictive text. She thinks pink is too little girly.
