This is just a rant really!
Last night we were woken up in the early hours of the morning by shrieking and shouting coming from next door. After hiding under the pillow hoping they'd shut up soon for ages, and the neighbours showing no signs of actually shutting up, I'd had enough and told DP I was going to shout at them out of the window. DP suggested actually going round there would be more effective - so we threw some clothes on and DP knocked on the door. It was 5am - and they had a party going on in full swing.
One woman said we were rude - another one asked if we wanted to come in - another one said "but it's the WEEEEKEND!" to which I replied "but it's 5AM!!!!"

Neighbour himself was quite apologetic, and they shut their windows so we couldn't hear them after that.

I eventually got back to sleep - only to be woken up again a couple of hours later by the same neighbours shouting and shrieking in the garden....by which point it was technically the morning so we couldn't really go round to complain!

Now, on a day when there's actually LOADS that needs doing, I'm sat here unable to do much more than clutch my coffee for dear life, already planning my next one.
I can FEEL the dark circles under my eyes.

I can hear the neighbours now, just making normal neighbour noises which wouldn't normally bother me, and it's making me feel murderous! I am glaring through the wall and hoping they can feel it.

I can't even put loud music on as revenge as they all seem to be awake anyway Confused - how are THEY awake when I'm not, and I didn't even get to party all night!!! Grrrrr.

YANBU pre DS and DH I'd have put my music on loudly at 4.30am when I got up for work and left it on a timer :)

DH thinks it's incredibly childish spoils all my fun to retaliate that way. Thankfully I moved in with him so no longer have annoying neighbors just the neighbors bloody cat

  • That's 4.30 am the day after they were up all night.

Aaaargh they've just put THEIR music on!! Not FAIR!!!! They have to be on drugs. It's the only way they can still be awake!

Well it used to be every once in a while, but since the weather's been warmer it's just about every weekend - going on later and later.

I'm just hoping they might calm it down a bit now we've spoken to them. Maybe they thought that shouting out of their open windows into the early hours WOULDN'T be something that might annoy the neighbours.....

We were woken at 5am this morning by our neighbours and their floosies screaming and splashing in their hot tub ! The racket they were making was enough to wake us from a deep sleep. I am on night shift tonight and am thinking about giving them an early morning wake up call at 5am tomorrow morning ( they have a business with their home phone no written on it !)
