To have expected to have been invited

My friend is pregnant, today she had a baby shower and has put on face book how wonderful it was and thanked all her dear friends for coming. I wasn't invited and now I feel really upset and left out. Should I say something to her? I have just 'liked' it and not commented but I feel like crying :(

maybe it was organised for her and she knew nothing about it, hence your lack of invite?

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 26/08/2012 19:27

Just post something like "ooo I never realised did refunds online, thank goodness for that. £150 will come in handy once it's back in my account" on your page.
That'll give her food for thought Wink

You didn't receive an invite becaise you are obviously not much of a friend to her.

Have you checked missed calls, answer machines, emails, post etc

You felt closer to her than she did to you.

Hurts ..

Was it her friends or family only etc?

PrimrosePath · 26/08/2012 19:28

I think they tend to be organised by a friend. Could it be someone who doesn't know you?

MammaTJisanOlympicSumoWrestler · 26/08/2012 19:29

I would agree it was probably organised by a friend.

pictish · 26/08/2012 19:31

May well have been organised by a pal. Wait and see.

gamerwidow · 26/08/2012 19:33

My sister organised a baby shower for me and the first I knew about it was when I arrived at it. Possibly your friend didn't send out the invites?

BulldogDrummond · 26/08/2012 19:36

Just be thankful that you haven't wasted spent money on something that might be e-bayed straightaway.

IceCubes · 26/08/2012 19:39

Also inclined to agree it was organised by someone else. I hate baby showers!!!

Meet up with her on your own, save yourself the competitive present buying nonsense!

gallifrey · 26/08/2012 20:56

Oh feeling a bit foolish now, just looked at who is tagged as going and it's all her work friends!

There you go then. Phew! Wink

kittyandthefontanelles · 26/08/2012 21:09

Why don't you organise one for her now with your friends?

gallifrey · 26/08/2012 21:53

Good idea!
