Love The FALL, and adored 'Teenage Kicks'
Will be great gig, hope you enjoy it Al, if you get to go.

I thought it was going to be at the actual John Peel centre at first and burst into tears (haha what a sap) but it is even better that it is going to be in Norwich I think.

Miss you Peelio, miss you in the radio times, on R4 and in the Royal Tandoori and generally schlepping about in your stained t-shirt.

these are easily among the best bands ever

do not accept this low level of interest

unless, like me, others got so excited they have given themselves a severe headache and need a lie down with some naproxen Confused

Went to a Fall gig recently. It was brilliant and immensely gratifying to feel like the youngest person there for a change Grin

Alameda · 23/08/2012 23:49

ah hooray

were they really brilliant? was it a good set?

MrsTerryPratchett · 24/08/2012 00:06

I am far too young to remember these bands far too young.

Wow, what a blast from the past but probs too far away to go. Coco, I think it will be the "improper" line up with Paul McLoone who I had a massive crush on when we were at Uni together back in the day and yes, he used to wig out to the Undertones at student union dances - who'd have thunk he'd end up singing with them? Grin

RagingDull · 24/08/2012 00:12

cant find it anywhere else but the peel sessions.....

Alameda · 24/08/2012 00:13

why won't it be fergal? he was at the funeral?

OP posts:
Alameda · 24/08/2012 00:14

OP posts:
Alameda · 24/08/2012 00:17

TICKETS

OP posts:
cocolepew · 24/08/2012 00:18

It's not The Undertones if Fergal isnt there. Imagine someone else singing Teenage Kicks Shock

bronze · 24/08/2012 00:21

Thanks Alameda

Alameda · 24/08/2012 00:29

didn't know there would be any question over the line up, want fergal :(

must not allow this to detract from my overall excitement about gig and all the publicity for the peel centre!

OP posts:
LeslieKnope · 24/08/2012 00:30

Haven't they been touring for years without Feargal coco??

I hate it when bands do this.

It's not the same bad without the original line-up. Just the same songs.

Feargal was a government/musical official dude last I heard.

out2lunch · 24/08/2012 00:32

i am a fan - its exciting news Smile

my nn used to be mycatsaysach

cocolepew · 24/08/2012 00:33

Well yes, but this is special.
Hate The Fall though

auldspinster · 24/08/2012 00:42

I've run out of fingers to count the number of times I've seen The Fall, there's certainly never a dull moment. My first gig of theirs, Mark E Smith had an onstage punch up with Karl Burns and the soundman after 15 mins, buggered off for 45 mins and came on for a further 15 mins.
