I seem to be stuck in a loop of MN, ebay and Facebook, and now I'm bored. I've tried Twitter but I just don't get it! Where else do you go?

OP posts:
Kladdkaka · 21/08/2012 23:04

I play WoW too much

MattDamonIsMyLover · 21/08/2012 23:05

One other board, a couple of professional journals. Not every night. Netmums once a fortnight.

doggus · 21/08/2012 23:05

Oh I don't get Twitter at all. Joined recently, did two twits, and then retired as no one was listening.

I do here, netmums, Facebook, would like some more suggestions too.

joanofarchitrave · 21/08/2012 23:05

Longform
Slate, more than I should
Iplayer for radio programmes - makes the laptop the world's most expensive radio, but I never know when radio stuff is on.

WorraLiberty · 21/08/2012 23:10

doggus you 'did two twits' and then retired? Shock Grin

MammaTJisanOlympicSumoWrestler · 21/08/2012 23:12

Same as you plus Student Nurse chat and SMNet, which is for Student MW and they have a section for nurses. A bit of iplayer lately, as my sky box upstairs has broken!!

Oh plus obsessively checking online banking in the ain hope I will suddenly be better off than I really am!

MammaTJisanOlympicSumoWrestler · 21/08/2012 23:12

vain hope**

Empusa · 21/08/2012 23:14

Twitter, Facebook, MN, Pinterest, blogging, web design, read blogs, web comics, news sites, follow design tutorials, iplayer, 4OD, Netflix.... um, just a few things Blush

dwpanxt · 21/08/2012 23:17

I have all kinds of newspapers to read -from local rags to international issues.

I keep a close eye on MSE
stumble upon
boing boing and several other forums to do with my hobbies .

If they all bore me I move on to watch TV programmes on Iplayer and similar for other channels and if that palls I run through youtube -often just browsing.

And if all that still bores me I have many many books on the laptop so I can read something.

MammaTJisanOlympicSumoWrestler · 21/08/2012 23:18

I don't get pinterest, I joined but it spams my FB, that's all. I do look at tutorials on cake decorating on You Tube too, forgot that!

SoleSource · 21/08/2012 23:19

You could try

www.justchat.co.uk

Can be hilarious and most people are ok in forum 3.

I haven.t been on for months as I cannot access it from my phone.

It isn't for the faint of heart though.

iknowwho · 21/08/2012 23:20

Fb, drool over nail polish blogs, read news sites, read feminist blogs like Jezebel and feministing, Look at reviews for things I want to buy, watch tv and films, look up silly questions and sometimes masochistically read the dm website to make myself angry but that needs to stop it's unhealthy!

notalwaysworking.com for funny stories of stoopid workers!

Facebook - I play Hidden Chronicles, which is addictive interesting and fun but you need other friends to play with.

IMDB - I like to read trivia about films I have seen, and goofs for films I might watch so I can look out for them.

Alameda · 22/08/2012 01:13

argh too much and looks like they are mostly expensive habits Confused

news, my own site/chat board, FB (when account is active), buy books and things from Amazon, buy music and things from iTunes/the App store, enrol on courses (latest: fencing and Italian, let's gloss over the abandoned MA) then roam around looking at things relevant to those - like YouTube for fencing videos and Yabla for helpful Italian language things, oh and rai tv for same purpose, plan and book flights, accommodation for trips I can't really afford, skype for talking to people not on my phone favourites plan (and one or two who are), email obviously, bodybuilding.com (forums, articles), looking at pictures of volcanic eruptions (why?)
