To feel like giving up

It all just seems like too much effort and all I get in return is a feeling like I've had enough! (being a parent/summer hols from school)

I'll join you!

Hugs all round too, don't care what the rules are.

I just wanted/needed to go out and buy some bread but 3year old wouldn't do anything she was told to get ready. Sad
Gonna have a cup of tea Brew and go out alone later on instead.

It's so bloody frustrating though when they just won't do anything to help you out!

She is 3, tell her to get her shoes on or there will be no more telly/take her toys away! Don't let a 3 year old dictate wether or not you can go and get bread.

I know it's hard x

CatsInChaos · 20/08/2012 15:39

I wish it could be that easy but I feel like I've had enough. Sad Don't want to sound completely self pitying. There's more than one DC to get ready anyway.

Think I will go out later alone when DH returns from work.

I take my hat off to any single parents out there!

Mine are being surly, uncooperative and belligerent too. Took DS an hour and ten minutes to put socks and shoes on to go out yesterday, and he's ten ffs. I never thought so before but maybe the summer hols are too long after all

getyourkicksonroute66 · 20/08/2012 15:46

Phew glad I'm not the only one who's child can take an hour to follow a simple instruction.

I'd follow it through though and make her/them get ready or else...
