It finished its work last night, but not a light or beep this morning. The power is on at the wall, thats all I know!

Fuse blown?

ratspeaker · 20/08/2012 12:41

Is the plug in properly?
Have you checked the fuse in the plug or trip switch on main board?

SoupDragon · 20/08/2012 12:42

Fuse would be my first guess.

UserNameNotAvailable · 20/08/2012 12:42

You say the power is on at the wall, do you mean the switch is flicked onto the on position and all sockets are working (fridge, washer etc) could the sockets switch on the fuse box have had a surge on switched it off?

coconutparadise · 20/08/2012 12:43

Try googling the make, model number and faults. That told us what was wrong with ours.

tiggyfours · 20/08/2012 12:43

Will have to shine my sink and get on the rubber gloves! Am thinking maybe a fuse, have not done a de- gunk in a while, serves me right thinking it will run and run! Thanks.

Ours wouldn't drain the other week - there was broken glass stuck in the pipes. Serves me right for buying cheap IKEA glasses!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/08/2012 12:46

If there's no lights it sounds like a fuse.

Ours will sometimes throw a strop and we switch it off at the plug for 10 minutes then switch it on again.

Do you use salt? Are you in a hard water area?

Our heater went and had to be replaced.
The repairman told us the salt holder needs to be kept topped up because once a month (maybe 30 cycles or so) it completely flushes out the salt reservior.
Most people assume the salt in the tablet is enough.Which it may well be in a sofy water area, but not where we live.

tiggyfours · 20/08/2012 13:15

Soft water here, so don't normally use salt. Usually do a cleaning pack once a month, but can't actually remember doing one for a while. The electric is fine, as the wall plug light is lit up, so hopefully just a fuse and not a repair man job. Nice job for Mr Tiggy!
