People use the small self service checkouts for huge trolleys of stuff that they scan, put on the side and, only when they've paid, THEN start bagging it all up?

It seems so pointless!!

Or am I just too bloody impatient??

I thought self service was only for baskets or less?

It is in our area. However those things always take twice as bloody long anyway, so I try to avoid them.

mumofjust1 · 14/08/2012 22:34

We have large and small one's here -so for baskets and trolleys.

It would be far simpler if the large one's were for trolleys and the small one's were for baskets, but when was Tesco ever sensible?!

Basket only here

ReindeerBollocks · 14/08/2012 22:37

Ah, Tesco. Say no more. YANBU.

Self service tills crash if I look at them.
They AVU!

Also our Tescos staff are really nice, chatty and pack for you (sensibly) I don't want them replaced with dopy machines, that tell you there is an unwise tidied item in the bagging area???

NoComet · 14/08/2012 22:43

Oh fuck now they are infecting my iPod.

I don't mind them too much, but only ever use them if I only have a few bits - all the "unknown item in the bagging area" palava is beyond annoying.

I use them when I'm feeling unsociable so, most of the time but the 'unexpected item in the bagging area' really gets up my nose. It's a cucumber. Hardly unexpected in a supermarket. Not a bloody nuclear submarine or DH's underpants.
