I don't have the guts to say aynthing in RL, but I'm now questioning the fact that it's discusting and rediculous.

I'm sure some members of this planet have undergone some sort of logic bypass operation.

Old shoes on table = unhygenic and a little bit bad luck

New shoes on table = VERY VERY Bad luck and must NEVER happen! That is all.

DozyDuck · 14/08/2012 17:57

Oh chaos... You're never going to be able to do a successful name change on your phone are you? Grin

LynetteScavo · 14/08/2012 17:59

Never walk under ladders or put shoes on the table or put umbrellas up indoors.

Ever.

surroundedbyblondes · 14/08/2012 18:01

I just can't bring myself to do it. Engrained in me by my grandfather...

Lucyellensmum99 · 14/08/2012 18:11

My MIL did this though - with a pair of christening shoes that i had bought for DD, she went to put them on the table to show FIL, i shouted NO!!! she looked a bit Hmm and DP said LEM thinks this is bad luck - so what did she do, put the fucking shoes on the table anyway AngryAngryAngry DP was Shock as he knew i would be upset - he said LEM wont use them now, and you know what, i couldnt bring myself to put them on DD, ever Blush She just made the Hmm face and said "that sounds like an obsession" Err, yeah, maybe, but i was crippled by PND at the time and was awaiting surgery for gallstones, i was really ill - so FORGIVE ME FOR MY MENTALNESS!!! They were £40 those shoes, i had to throw them away - ive never quite forgiven her :( She's lovely, but i will never forget that.

lentilweavinghippy · 14/08/2012 18:42

Not remotely mental LEM! (Chaos, on the other hand...)

ratspeaker · 14/08/2012 18:51

it's extremely bad luck to put shoes on a table
So my Granny said
I asked what bad luck woud befall
"well I'll skelp yer lugs fur a start "

Salmotrutta · 14/08/2012 18:59

Was your Gran also my Gran ratspeaker? - that's what she would have said (not meant it obviously) too!! Grin

Salmotrutta · 14/08/2012 19:00

I thought this was going to be about people who sit at low coffee tables in staffrooms and the like and prop their manky feet up on the table.

I haaaaate that! Angry.

Disgusting habit.
