To think if the bin is full you empty it?

If the bin is full I empty it, not just pile the rubbish on top, if the recycling tub in the kitchen is full I put it in the tubs outside. The list goes on!

So why oh why can't my husband see this, it drives me mad! If I ask him to do it I get told I am nagging!!

There is a special course that all guys go on when the girls are off learning something else ....

My H's course was the advanced one where he was taught to leave the milk open on the counter and just leave enough on the plate or dish in the fridge to avoid the task of actually having to deal with the empties ...

Good luck!

We play a crazy version of bin Jenga. If you topple it you empty it.

HecateHarshPants · 13/08/2012 19:23

If the bin is full I squish stuff. Then I balance stuff on top of it. Then my husband comes in and rolls his eyes and empties the bin Blush

gamerwidow · 13/08/2012 19:27

Same as Hecate, for some reason I have a real blind spot about emptying the bin and would rather precariously stack it until DH sorts it out

Petsinmyolympicpudenda · 13/08/2012 19:29

I do this. I will also place rubbish in plastic bags next to the bin for someone else to deal with.

I finally gave in and took our glass recycling bin to the recycling centre today because it was overflowing with beer bottles. I think DH was trying to construct some kind of modern art installation in the hall cupboard. If I'd been stopped by the police today they would have been mightly suspicious - the car smelt like a brewery.

OMG MrsKeith, my DH is crying laughing at that

We've done it for years but there's never been a name for it up until now Grin

maddening · 13/08/2012 19:34

and it's worse when they push it down to fit more in so when you try and empty it the bin bag rips! Even the strong ones (I refuse to get shit bin bags for this reason!) so their saving their lazy arse from emptying the bin means you end up clearing up even more. Grrrrrr

clemetteattlee · 13/08/2012 19:38

We also play bin roulette. I NEVER empty the bin but DH is very good at pretending he hasn't noticed that it is full. Eventually he does it.
The other day someone asked me the secret to a happy marriage ... Perhaps I should have said this.

AdoraBell · 13/08/2012 19:42

I have to confess that my OH does empty the bin if he sees it full. Sorry. He does aggravate me in other ways.

StealthPolarBear · 13/08/2012 19:47

I can't bear bin topplers
How does he always manage to balace the most disguting snotty tissue right on the top so that when I open it it falls out onto my foot Angry
I love having a nice empty bin to put stuff in. Why does no one else seem to care?

ShiftyFades · 13/08/2012 20:03

I try to play bin jenga as DH is world champion very good at it... I fail though I can't cope once it gets near the lid as its me who cleans the bloody thing and the thought of food waste on my bin lid gives me the shakes... I'm seeing a therapist soon Wink

Goldrill · 13/08/2012 20:10

My DH is wonderful and always empties the bin

He just never puts a sodding bin bag back in Angry!!

ShiftyFades · 13/08/2012 20:12

That's worse than not emptying it! Angry
Grrr

HaveALittleFaith · 13/08/2012 20:45

In our house it's me that emptied it or him that gives me the Hmm face if I ask him to do it. He will honestly say he didn't realise it needed doing
Hmm indeed!
