To take kids to legoland if raining

Is it madness to go to legoland on Tuesday when rain is forecast? We've been planning to go for ages DH has day off if we don't go then we probably won't go till next year, just wondered if anyone else has been on a wet day and how good or awful it's been!

Bet there won't be so many queues so I think it's a great idea. Just go prepared with waterproofs etc! Have fun!

We went in the rain last week, best trip we've had! We all wore leggings and tees with waterproof coats and wellies.... Warm dry feet all day and leggings dry FAST! It was much quieter and we had a fantastic day!

The one and only visit we had there was in the rain. It was fine.

RuleBritannia · 12/08/2012 19:56

It's cheaper if you book on line and print tickets at home. do you know what it costs for a family?

RuleBritannia · 12/08/2012 19:56

And they charge for the car park now.

When we did Legoland it was raining for the first half of the day. Raincoats on and we still rode a few rides while it was dead x

Visadiva · 12/08/2012 20:14

The best time to go is in the rain. Queues are much shorter.

pjmama · 12/08/2012 20:15

We went a couple of weeks ago. Despite the pouring rain, my DTs still insisted on getting their cozzies on and running around in the water play park! It wasn't cold and I figured they couldn't get any wetter, they had a great time.

Ghanagirl · 12/08/2012 21:00

We have got some two for one tickets from the times which makes it a bit cheaper! Glad your all so positive about going in the rain!

Ya all bu! Don't go anywhere in the rain! Stay indoors and watch DVDs. That way it's quieter for me and DS Grin

Seriously though with DSs ASD we only go out in the rain to places like this, it's fab Smile

I've loved the rainy summer so far!

flyoverthehill · 12/08/2012 22:13

legoland in the trafford centre in indoors, so rain won't matter, parking is free, only downside ....its crap !

mumnosGOLDisbest · 12/08/2012 22:49

parking is only £2. it costs more to shop for 2 hrs. id still go its brill and might not rain. fingers x for you!

LiegeAndLief · 12/08/2012 23:06

Have been in all kinds of weather and whilst it's true the queues are shorter in the rain, the only potential problem is that if it really rains hard all day some of the rides can't always cope and get shut down.

Having said that, I've just been looking at the weather and it's meant to be dry on Tues! Isn't it?
