Lighthearted thread to alleviate the boredom of a pretty dull Sunday! Smile

Shaving your legs in a freezing bathroom (ouch!)
Putting on rubber gloves and finding they're all wet inside

What little things make you go grrr??

OP posts:

catching my sleeve on a doorknob

JeezyPeeps · 12/08/2012 10:50

The stupid little sticky-up bit with no purpose on the door storage bit in my car that inevitably catches my trouser leg as I leave the car.

Kladdkaka · 12/08/2012 10:52

Sticky residue in the heel of my shoe after I've removed the price label. Grrrr!

Susieloo · 12/08/2012 10:55

Buying anything made of glass, particularly something that will be on display like a candle holder that has a sticky label on that leaves sticky gritty residue in the bottom, put a label on that comes off easily!!!!!

MammaTJisanOlympicSumoWrestler · 12/08/2012 10:57

The fact the DP will wash up but only as much as will fit on the drainer. He will not wipe up, then put it away, then continue to wash up. Grr!

Homebird8 · 12/08/2012 11:00

Scratchy labels in the neckline of new tops!

TheKnackeredChef · 12/08/2012 11:10

Pre-recorded phonecalls about PPI. FFS, at least give me a human being I can tell to sod off.

(PS: A quick squirt of WD40 gets rid of that sticky residue.)

MorrisZapp · 12/08/2012 11:12

Shoulder bags dropping off when you're wrestling with your keys.

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 12/08/2012 11:17

Cheap plastic tat grandparents buy!!! Seriously it's lovely you think of the kids but you can turn up empty handed they will be happy just to see you! You don't have to spend money and buy presents you can't afford. The visit from family is what matters .

Having to clean the bloomin' guinea pigs out every week, and knowing I'll have to do it for about 7 years come rain or shine because I gave in to DD's birthday request for a pet!

NameChangeGalore · 12/08/2012 15:10

Sharing a water bottle with DD on a day out, and finding little white bits in the water, thus rendering it undrinkable. (By me anyway)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/08/2012 15:27

MagicHouse I clean my bloomin' guinea-pigs house out every day and I love it because I like to know my little boys have dry newspaper and fresh snuggly hay.

My grrr would be "cleaning the cage and the little blighters don't appreciate my efforts" Grin

And hangnails that catch on everything when I haven#t got nail clippers handy

And tardy time keepers gggrrr late people

The infinite variations of ways to turn taps on in public loos.

Is it only me?

If I can't fathom it out, I end up assuming that there is some kind of sensor and waft my arms about in front of the taps - only to see somebody else with more intelligence turn the tap on with no effort.

How do they know??

Fireandashes · 12/08/2012 15:37

The "l" key on my iPhone being too close to the backspace button so I end up deleting the previous letter instead of typing an "L".

The thoughtless neighbour who has put a load of cardboard boxes and polystyrene packaging out by the bins without thinking to tie them up / weigh then down so a light breeze has them strewn all over the lane beside our house.

julieann42 · 12/08/2012 15:40

People who finish a jar of my peanut butter and put it back in the cupboard when it's empty!

FutureNannyOgg · 12/08/2012 15:45

Treading in cat sick in bare feet.

MagicHouse · 12/08/2012 15:45

Hello 70isnotalimit Smile You gave me advice about having GP's ages ago - don't know if you remember! I do clean out/ replace the wet bits/hay etc every day! It's the mammoth/ scrub the cage out clean and replace everything once a week I can't say I love!!! I love them really! But I can't see me ever approaching that task with joy!
