Ok so this post is not about a fake friend but it is about a friend who bought me fake makeup for my birthday. Am I being unreasonable to be annoyed?

Cheap prezzie from a loaded mate?

Dim mate who thought it was real ?

Brassic mate who spent what she could afford to get you something nice?

Subliminal messaging because she thinks you are a fake friend?

But yes YABU to be annoyed because she bothered to buy you something.

By fake makeup you mean knockoff of something more expensive, I guess?

I suppose if you're a hard-line campaigner for rich cosmetics companies and she knows this, maybe YANBU, but if not, why would you be annoyed at her for getting you a present? I mean, I assume it is actually real makeup, just done up to look like something more expensive? In which case you are basically asking if you're BU to be annoyed she didn't spend more money on you.
