Just did a search on this and can't see any threads about them. They are the new craze here (north east)

www.google.co.uk/search?q=flossy&hl=en&prmd=imvns&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=8vsjULbPKofKhAeMwoDwDg&ved=0CEoQ_AUoAQ&biw=1024&bih=653

My neighbour has just been abroad and brought me and my dd's a pair each back and i have to say i love them. They are just black ones so go with anything. What do you think? Chavvy? Comfy? Stylish? Will be back later as bathing the dd's.

PenisVanLesbian · 09/08/2012 19:10

They are your nans slippers. You go outside in them? They make crocs look like manolos.

BettySuarez · 09/08/2012 19:15

Penis i won't hear a bad word said about my crocs Grin

ZeldaUpNorth · 09/08/2012 19:15

Meant to add, I am normally the last person to follow a 'craze' but I couldn't resist.

I love my crocs. I draw the line at nans slippers though! Grin

ZeldaUpNorth · 09/08/2012 19:23

So is the craze n not widespread? Up here everyone wears them. Though surprisiingly not my Nan.

they are very popular down here in the SE too

PineappleBed · 09/08/2012 19:25

Everyone here wears them!

QuenelleOJersey2012 · 09/08/2012 19:26

They look like those Chinese slippers everyone wore in the 80s. Except they only came in black.

God no how vile!

LadyBeagleEyes · 09/08/2012 19:28

Definitely granny's comfy shoe or nan's slippers.
Hideous.

ZeldaUpNorth · 09/08/2012 19:29

Quenelle, I think that's what they are based on. Don't knock 'em til you've tried 'em. Wink

There are at least 3 shops in out city centre dedicated to just these shoes.

Minshu · 09/08/2012 19:38

So, that's what everyone's wearing. Hideous... Grin

Migsy1 · 09/08/2012 19:42

What's wrong with them? I seem to remember them from a few decades ago. UANBU

Doodlekitty · 09/08/2012 19:45

Are they comfy? Seen a load of shops selling them (in North East) and its just occurred to me that they might be good for my uber fat pregnancy feet. I'm already in a size 8, figure in these I could just get a Mans 9?

Peeenut · 09/08/2012 19:50

Oh I didn't realize they were a trend! I like them and have a couple of pairs, they're more like kids school plimsolls than slippers Confused I got them because every other person in town is in Toms.

RightUpMyRue · 09/08/2012 19:53

Ahh, that's what DD was talking about.

She's staying with her Nana this week (in the NE) and had said her Nana had bought her two pairs of floppsies.

Now I know what they are.

They're a bit like espadrilles.

Peeenut · 09/08/2012 19:57

Now I'm going to have to get some different brand shoes Angry
