ok it's just a bit of gossip and the source isn't reliable but...am I right in thinking that letting an 11 yr old boy watch porn is just all kinds of wrong?

OP posts:
drtachyon · 08/08/2012 14:45

YANBU.

I agree completely that this is totally wrong.

missymoomoomee · 08/08/2012 15:22

I don't know any 11 year olds that would want to, my 11 year old can't even look when disney films show cartoon kissing, let alone full on 'can I come in and sort your plumbing, now bend over while I give you a good servicing' films.

doinmummy · 08/08/2012 15:24

Who lets their 11year old watch pron shock

doinmummy · 08/08/2012 15:24
Shock
SoleSource · 08/08/2012 15:33

Urgh.

GhostShip · 08/08/2012 15:35

I once found page 3 under my younger brothers pillow once. He was 7!

But no, it's wrong. Too young for that.

I do know 11 year olds on the estate who would like to though

WithoutCaution · 08/08/2012 15:49

It depends on what you class as porn though doesn't it?

Some Japanese manga and Anime could be classed as a form of porn by overly sensitive people. Some of the art on DeviantART could also be classed as mildly pornographic to some

molepom · 08/08/2012 16:07

As I said in the OP, it's gossip and the source isn't exactly reliable. Apparently this is the full on hardcore porn stuff that this particular child is watching.

I'm just relieved to know I'm not going mad and yes it is wrong.

What are you going to do with this info Molepom?

ImperialBlether · 08/08/2012 16:12

Molepom, surely you didn't need a bunch of strangers on the internet to tell you that's wrong!

MiniTheMinx · 08/08/2012 16:15

It is a new Olympic sport "synchronised thinking" Grin

molepom · 08/08/2012 16:15

Nothing.

OP posts:
MiniTheMinx · 08/08/2012 16:16

WHY?

I know you are not sure of your source but if your source is sure of herself, then you need to tell her to do something, non?

molepom · 08/08/2012 16:20

No. I knew it wasn't right. Just posted about it for my own amusement if anything.

OP posts:
OhBuggerandArse · 08/08/2012 22:34

It's not a subject for amusement. It's really fucking wrong. You do need to do something.

LizzieVereker · 09/08/2012 00:23

I think it's a criminal offence to expose children to pornography, so whoever is allowing this child access to porn is breaking the law as well as being a scumbag.

CouthyMow · 09/08/2012 00:28

Molepom......an 11yo being allowed to watch pirn is classed as sexual abuse, and possibly grooming. It's not fair on that CHILD for everyone who knows what is going on to sit back and do nothing when they could be protecting him.

Please phone Social Services, you can do it anonymously, and they won't know it's you that has rung them, but Social Services are duty bound to investigate something like this.

LordOfThe5Rings · 09/08/2012 00:32

Not really a thing to get amusement out of really mole. Disgusted with thAt attitude.

Schoolworries · 09/08/2012 01:50

I hope you report this. Its not amusing.

BadDayAtTheOrifice · 09/08/2012 02:18

This is not amusing at all.
If it is true, it is child abuse.
I hope you report it so it can be investigated, even if it is just a rumour.

molepom · 09/08/2012 16:24

I didn't mean "for my own amusement" to come across as it has. It's more of a case of wanting to prove to myself that I am right in this and wanted to sleep on it before any action was taken as this will have huge knock on effects.

Anyway, I've been out all day so haven't been on but I did give SS an call this morning about it all and did inform them that although it is a rumour it still needed looking into. So I've done what a lot of you have suggested already.

OP posts:
SoleSource · 09/08/2012 16:40

Your child should not be wstching porn. Urgh.

molepom · 09/08/2012 16:41

It's not mine.

OP posts:
LordOfThe5Rings · 09/08/2012 17:53

Ah okay I see how you mean, the English language can come across a bit dodgy if you don't hear the tone someone says something in.

molepom · 09/08/2012 21:06

Consider my hand well and truly slapped. I will try to think about wording things differently to make sure they can only come across how I intend next time.
