To be fed up with my neighbours?

It's a mother and her 26 year old son. He drinks and she hates it. They often argue at 1am when he gets in, buys its not just arguing per say. You can hear him using all sorts of foul language and throwing things around the house.

Last month I called the non emergency police line to report it as he was being really threatening towards her. The neighbours were pissed off with me for calling police, but I was concerned for her safety! I wasn't going to ask DH to go and knock on their door because the son was clearly in a state.

We had a poorly written note through the door the next morning from female neighbour saying we wasted Police time etc. That evening son played music incredibly loudly for half an hour at 1am (DH slept through it but I'm heavily pregnant and sleep lightly) and was yelling that the neighbours are c*s.

Since then we've not had many problems, but DH is out tonight and I just saw the son walk into the house with large bottle of cider and can hear him and his mum having a bit of a barney!

The son intimidates me and the mother is just plain rude to me.

AIBU to feel more than a bit irritated?

YANBU, sounds like a pain in the arse, especially if you're feeling intimidated Sad no advice though I'm afraid, just support.

Thanks nappybag! Just settling down to watch Murray v Djokovic. Hopefully they'll behave tonight.

Olympic, I didn't give my name the first time! Maybe she posted a note through our door and the other neighbours' door?!

Do they rent or own?

frillylemons · 03/08/2012 18:52

Own I believe...

I guess if they rented I could at least have a word with the landlord!
