To expect them to play nicely??

DD's (6&3) have played really nicely together this morning, while I pottered around doing not much (laundry, washingup, cooking lunch) We had lunch and they went off to carry on with their game, so I started prepping the living room for decorating, and within 5 minutes they are bugging the life out of me!! And the bloody teen has raised from the bed to join in!

3 yr olds 'helping' with plastering is NOT FUN.

Why do they always do that? Happy to entertain themselves until I start doing somethng (vaguely) interesting, then they are like a swarm of bees to a jam pot, wanting to help, be first, bickering and basically doing my head in.

Have given up and (yet again) will resort to trying to finish it after they go to bed. So should have known better than to attempt to do a job during the day!

I just left mine glued to Fireman Sam and ran myself a lovely bath. I'd been in it for about 3 minutes when they appeared, stripped off and climbed in. (sigh)

Froggies You can do plastering?? Respect and please will you come and do my hallway

froggies · 02/08/2012 20:17

Inyourhippyhat, Is not actually proper plastering, I am filling in the joints between plasterboards, and I am not very good at it (although I actually bought the proper tool for it, and I am getting better), which probably explains a lot of my irritation at the help.

They are in bed now, so I am going to try again.
