Long story cut short - I am posting here for your wisdom

At the end of a very protracted divorce and last night had unprotected sex with STBXH - I know I know I know - please don't slate me - some gentle words of wisdom needed

5 days b4 my period is due - and (tmi) he didn't cum inside me (sorry) but did so quite a while after exit if you see what I mean.

God I'm stupid - what was I thinking.

Even before the actual event the odd sperm can make it's merry little way. Take it to be on the safe side!

MammaTJ · 30/07/2012 05:44

Oh and period is irrelevant too. I fell preg the day mine ended and got told there was now way that could have happened. I had been having a break from TTC, finished period, had sex, worked a few night shifts, then found I was preg.

ErikNorseman · 30/07/2012 07:49

Yes of course you should.

whois · 30/07/2012 07:50

Yeah you def need to take it to be sure, get yourself down to a chemist.

ripsishere · 30/07/2012 07:52

Yes.

ripsishere · 30/07/2012 07:53

Blush, yes you should take the MAP, not yes YABU.

simperingsally · 30/07/2012 07:54

Yanbu. Go take it.

OneOfMyTurnsComingOn · 30/07/2012 07:55

Take it.

mellen · 30/07/2012 08:01

There isnt really a downside to taking it is there, not compared to the alternative.

CecilyP · 30/07/2012 10:28

It would be a very good idea to take it.

samandi · 30/07/2012 10:31

Unless you're strongly religious, I can't see why you wouldn't. "Considering taking the morning after pill" is hardly unreasonable to most sane people.

DialsMavis · 30/07/2012 10:33

Yes take it, DD is a result of DP pulling out

Trills · 30/07/2012 10:34

Why would it be unreasonable?

MeconiumHappens · 30/07/2012 10:34

yes, and hurry up- the sooner the more effective.

picnicbasketcase · 30/07/2012 10:35

Take it, and make sure the both of you don't have any more mindless moments around each other.

TheBigJessie · 30/07/2012 10:35

Get thyself to the chemist now.

CecilyP · 30/07/2012 11:18

Yes, and buy some condoms while you are there!

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 30/07/2012 11:27

Thinking you might be OK without it as 5 days before period ? Depends a bit on how you feel about any side effects from taking it - I think it can make you feel a little sick ?? I can see everyone else has said to go ahead and have it, and I'm sure that would be a sensible precaution. Best wishes to you Smile

Wearsuncream · 30/07/2012 11:30

Take it and still keep your fingers crossed -

Mrsjay · 30/07/2012 11:30

take it today even if he wasnt inside they are strong swimmers and dont have sex with him again

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 30/07/2012 12:11

You may think you're 5 days pre-period but you could have unexpectedly ovulated late iyswim - take it to be on the safe side!

theboutiquemummy · 30/07/2012 12:15

Take it hes an ex for a reason
